Privacy Policy
Delaware Valley Tech (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This page explains what information we collect through delawarevalleytech.com, why, and what you can do about it.
Information you give us
When you submit our contact form, we collect whatever you enter: your name, email address, and message, plus phone number and business name if you choose to provide them. We use this only to respond to your inquiry — nothing else.
When you use the “Ask Delaware Valley Tech” AI assistant, the text you enter and up to the three most recent question-and-answer exchanges are processed by Cloudflare Workers AI to generate the next reply. Please do not enter passwords, financial records, health information, or other sensitive information. The assistant does not send a message to our team or book a meeting; use our Contact page or scheduling link when you want a person to follow up.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours passes through some automatic technical information as part of normal operation:
- Cloudflare, our hosting provider, processes standard connection information (such as IP address) to serve the site and to protect it from abuse, as part of its own infrastructure.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects our contact form and starts each AI-assistant session, checks a visitor’s browser and connection signals to distinguish humans from bots. It’s a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs and doesn’t track you across other websites.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics, which we use to understand aggregate traffic and page-view trends. It is cookie-free and is designed not to collect personally identifiable information.
- Chat abuse controls use a connection address temporarily to apply rate limits and pass it to Turnstile’s verification service. Our chat code does not save or log that address, chat text, Turnstile tokens, or chat session handles.
- Google Analytics, which we use for more detailed insight into how visitors use the site (such as which pages are viewed and how visitors found us). Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages visited. This information is processed by Google in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using Google’s browser add-on, or by adjusting your browser’s cookie settings.
We do not use advertising trackers, sell any data, or build individual visitor profiles.
How we use your information
- To respond to messages sent through our contact form
- To answer questions submitted to the AI assistant
- To keep our site running securely and reliably
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used and how people find it
We do not use your information for marketing you haven’t asked for, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Who we share information with
We use a small number of service providers to run this site and communicate with you:
- Resend, to deliver contact-form emails to us and send you an automatic confirmation
- Cloudflare, to host the site, provide aggregate Web Analytics, protect forms and chat from abuse, temporarily store chat-session data, and generate AI-assistant replies through Workers AI. Cloudflare says it does not use Workers AI customer content to train models or improve its or third-party services without explicit consent.
- Google, to provide website analytics through Google Analytics
- Calendly (if you choose to book a call through our scheduling link) — booking happens entirely on Calendly’s own site, under Calendly’s own privacy policy; we don’t receive anything about that until you actually show up in our calendar
We don’t share your information with anyone else, and we don’t sell it.
How long we keep information
We keep contact-form messages and the emails they generate for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain our own business records, and delete them when they’re no longer needed for that purpose.
For the AI assistant, a random session handle, question count, expiration and minimal in-progress/idempotency state, and the three most recent question-and-answer exchanges are stored in a Cloudflare Durable Object for up to 24 hours. An alarm then deletes that session data. Your browser also keeps the session handle, count, and visible conversation for up to 24 hours so a refresh or duplicate tab does not reset the limit. You can clear that browser copy sooner by clearing this site’s local storage. We do not routinely receive or review chatbot transcripts, and chat text is not sent in Google Analytics events or page URLs.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@delawarevalleytech.com. We’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Children’s privacy
This site is intended for business visitors and isn’t directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you’ve seen the update.
